2026 Andermatt Trip

Trip to Andermatt and Zurich, Switzerland
February 20 – March 3, 2026
Trip Cost from $3251 to $4360, depending on your method of payment (credit card or electronic bank check), rooming configuration (private or double room), and whether or not you choose to stay in Zurich at the end of the ski week.

Join Lexington Ski and Snowboard Club for great Alpine skiing at multiple areas easily accessible from Andermatt, for touring some of the most beautiful country you will ever see, and a chance to visit several close by unique sites.  The trip concludes with three optional nights in Zurich.

Andermatt is a Swiss ski resort in the heart of the Alps, known for its reliable snow record and expansive terrain, including linked areas with Sedrun and Disentis, offering a total of 180km of pistes. It caters to a range of skiers, from beginners to experts, with gentle slopes for learning and challenging off-piste terrain. The resort also features a traditional village atmosphere, luxury accommodations like the Chedi Hotel Andermatt, and a variety of winter activities beyond skiing.

Andermatt has long been a favorite for European skiers, but is less known among Americans.  Andermatt is considered one of the most snow-sure resorts in Switzerland, with a season that runs from November to May, with  slopes and off-piste opportunities for advanced skiers. The link with Sedrun and Disentis significantly expands the skiable area and provides options for all skill levels, including beginner often extends into late spring. It offers diverse terrain, including the Gemstock area with steep and family friendly slopes in Sedrun.   (See this Travel and Leisure article about Andermatt; ) https://www.travelandleisure.com/trip-ideas/skiing-trips/andermatt-switzerland-ski-resorts

Andermatt is known for its central location, which allows it to catch storms from multiple directions, contributing to its excellent snow record. The resort also features the Gemstock cable car and a train connection as part of the lift pass, allowing for easy exploration and return from different parts of the ski area.

Our trip will include…

  • Airfare round trip from Lexington to Zurich
  • Ground transfers between Zurich and Andermatt and return
  • Seven nights accommodations in Andermatt at the Hotel Piz Badus
  • Full hot and cold breakfast daily
  • Seven dinners
  • Mountain orientation at the hotel
  • Three night hotel accommodations in Zurich at the Hotel Scheuble
  • Breakfast daily in Zurich

Note that lift tickets are not included in the package, but they are usually considerably more reasonable than what we see here in the states.  Andermatt ski area is on the Epic pass, so if you are going n any of the LSSC trips, you will be able to use the same pass!  The Epic pass can be purchased through our vendor at a discount.  We have gotten discounts on equipment rentals through our vendor in the past, but we do not have any news on that just yet!  Again, rentals tend to be more reasonable in Europe than in the states.

Participants will receive detailed information about both Andermatt and Zurich, to facilitate individual exploring, as well as ease in navigating the area.  Optional group excursions are possible to significant areas near Andermatt.  Switzerland’s legendary train service is a block from the hotel for those wishing to explore on their own.

Pricing for this trip will be from $3251 to $4360, depending on your method of payment (credit card or electronic bank check), rooming configuration (private or double room), and whether or not you choose to stay in Zurich at the end of the ski week.

Zurich is the largest city in Switzerland and the capital of the Canton of Zurich. Located at the northwestern tip of Lake Zurich, it boasts a beautiful setting with the Limmat River flowing through the city center. Zurich is a major global center for banking and finance, but it also offers a rich history, a thriving arts scene, and plenty of opportunities for outdoor activities.

Our hotel is very centrally located for easy access to public transportation and activities.
